Travel Diary: Antalya in the rain

Antalya in the rain is still beautiful. Visiting a City when it rains can suck, or you can embrace it and enjoy the empty streets. As the temperatures are in summer still hot enough, when it rains, you can easily walk around in your T-shirt and Shorts. But of course, don’t be too naked if you are about to visit any religious place. Otherwise, you can dine inside, go shopping, visit the Warhol exhibition, go to EXPO 2016, or just wander around. But please keep in mind that the pavements get so slippery, that I almost fell multiple times (even on stairs).

Usually, rain is very uncommon in Antalya and on the Turkish Riviera. But once it starts to rain, it rains heavily and it feels like it never stops. That’s also the reason why most of the sidewalks are even up to 30 cm high, compared to the street. If it really starts to rain, like on 10 Days a year, it may rain many centimeters per hour. Luckily, it was just a shorter rain shower when I visited Antalya in the rain. Below you find some impressions from my Travel Diary, walking around in the rain in Antalya on the Turkish Riviera. In another Travel Diary Pictures of a super sunny Antalya follow.
