Aerobus Barcelona – Bus from the Airport to the City Centre

Aerobus Barcelona Travelblog JoyDellaVita

Aerobus Barcelona is the best way to get from the Airport to the City Centre of Barcelona. There are two lines, one for Terminal 1 and another one for Terminal 2. As both Terminal Areas of Barcelona El Prat Airport aren’t within walking distance it’s crucial to check the Bus Line, especially when taking the Aerobus in Barcelona back to the Airport.

Aerobus Barcelona Bus Stops

There are two Lines of Aerobus Barcelona, A1 and A2. Line A1 operates from Terminal 1, Line A2 from Terminal 2. Both Lines stop ultimately at Plaça Catalunya, and in between at Plaça Espanya. But depending on if the Bus is driving from the Airport to the City, or from the City to the Airport, there are different bus stops. The image below shows the names of the bus stops.
Usually, the Buses run every 5 to 10 Minutes. Therefore there is no actual timetable, and at least at the Airport, there is always one Bus waiting. For the earliest and latest times, check out their website.

What it’s like to take the Aerobus from Barcelona Airport to Barcelona City

The Aerobus Buses aren’t regular Buses, they are like an upgraded version. As most passengers have luggage there is a luggage area right in the middle of the bus, when you enter from the rear entrance. If the bus is full you might have to stack your bags or suitcase on top of others, as the area is big but not huge. Even now in Spring the climate was working and cooling the bus down, so you don’t have to sweat on a hot summer day. If you enter a bus as one of the firsts, make sure to look for the USB-Outlets that are placed on top of some seats. In case you need to charge your phone, this is a free service to customers. Another free service is complimentary WiFi on Board any Aerobus in Barcelona. You just have to select the WiFi Network and you are ready to browse the web, check Google Maps or post Pictures to Instagram. When I used the WiFi it was always stable and the speed was good.
