The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a motoring-event in southern England, very close to Chichester in West Sussex. For several Events, during the year Goodwood is THE Hotspot for everyone car- and motoring-loving. This June it was my first time at the Goodwood Festival of Speed near Pagham and the Event got me into its unique atmosphere. I’ll be back, maybe already for the Goodwood Revival this September.

The Festival of Speed is a hill climb on the estate of Lord March. As a motoring enthusiast, he really enjoys his own event just like most of the visitors do. Cars – from almost 100-year-old race cars that competed during the famous Mille Miglia to modern Hypercars – all drive one after another up a hill. It’s not about top speed only but about knowing when to break, when to shift and how to drive the hill uphill the fastest.
