Augustine Hotel Prague 5 Star The Luxury Collection

Can you imagine a Hotel in Prague close to Charles Bridge, and with a view on Prague Castle, that is located totally quiet and even foreclosed? A Hotel that has a deep history, almost as deep, long and interesting as Prague History itself? A 5 Star Hotel that leaves no wish unfulfilled? Then welcome to The Luxury Collections Augustine Hotel Prague!

Some Places leave you speechless, but this does not happen too often to me. I’ve stayed at so many Hotel Rooms so far so it really needs something to surprise me. When I first entered my Premium Deluxe Room, with the number 321, I was overwhelmed. I had a Number 1 View on Prague Castle, and a spacious Room as well – Bingo! Thanks to the wide windowsill I could casually sit there to enjoy the very nice View, as you can see on my Instagram .
The Premium Deluxe Rooms, for up to two people, have an average Room Size of 35 to 47 m² and all have WiFi, natural daylight and a view on the historical city centre. Besides a large King Size Bed, the Room was equipped with a TV, Office-/Hairdressing-Table, Mini-Bar, Closet and a Bathroom with a Bathtub and two wash basins. For a Room Price starting at EUR 365.00 / ~ 9,900 CZK, I’d have loved to have a small coffee machine, or at least a Water heater for Tea and Coffee in my Room. But what mattered more to me was the comfort of the Bed, and I slept so well inside it. It’s rather hard, but not too hard, and I slept like a Baby.. to start relaxed into each new day.

To really start the Day there is Breakfast served at the Augustine’s Hotel Restaurant, from 7 to 11 pm. The Buffet offers a variety of bread and pastries, fruits and granola, yoghurt and Bircher Muesli as well as Cheese, meat products and sparkling wine, if you want to celebrate each day’s new start. Coffee specialities can be ordered on your wish, as well as eggs the way you want (I tried the Omelette) or Pancakes with seasonal fruits. Even though the Breakfast Buffet at Augustine Hotel Prague is quite varied I preferred the breakfast selection at Design Hotel Neruda in Prague a little more. In detail, the other 4 Star Design Hotel offered more fruits and products that I personally liked. Pre-Cut Apples, for example, at Augustine I just had Pineapples to choose from. But that really depends on your personal taste. What was definitely better at the Augustine’s Breakfast Buffet were their small Croissants, they tasted like they were imported straight from Paris.

Augustine Hotel Prague is now only for a few months a member of the Luxury Collection by Starwood, and everything changed for the better so far. Speaking of a better WiFi in every corner of the Hotel, for example, that is really quick. The Hotel with its 101 Rooms is situated inside and next to a Monastery and there is even a private entrance from the Hotel to enchanting thirteen century Augustinian St. Thomas Monastery. In total seven Buildings dating back to 1284 were joint, therefore it can happen that you find Doors inside the Hotel that are permanently locked and not to open.

Summarised I really enjoyed my Stay at Augustine Hotel Prague, the atmosphere and especially my rooms’ interior that was both modern but with a traditional touch. Another Highlight was the Food I enjoyed at their Restaurant and through Room Service. If you wish, you can, of course, arrange Airport Transfer from and to the Airport or other Activities in Prague. Unfortunately I forgot my Gym Clothes, the Hotels Fitness Area is open 24 / 7 and I’d have loved to try it, as well as their Augustine Spa… Next time!
