Mandarin Oriental Geneva 5 Star Luxury Hotel

The Mandarin Oriental Geneva Luxury Hotel is an exquisite 5 Star Property, located closely to River Rhône and Lake Geneva. With the famous fountain in your back, you reach the Mandarin Oriental Hotel within a few minutes from the Train Station or a few more from the Airport. Even though this exact Hotel was the first luxury Hotel to be built in Europe after the Second World War, a true historical landmark, the Design is very stylish but timeless. With the financial district as well as various shops and restaurants in close proximity, the Mo leaves nothing to be desired as a guest, and always surprises with thoughtful details and amenities.

The unique service begins as soon as you enter the hotel. It is immediately offered to remove the luggage and you are friendly directed to the front desk. There was already some staff waiting for me to check in, while they took care of the luggage that they later brought separately to my room at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Geneva. Therefore I was able to just walk to my room, without stuff to drag behind me. Wonderful! During the fast check-in, I could have already enjoyed a glass of water or champagne to relax after the arrival to Switzerland, which I, however, thankfully declined.

My ‘Superior’ Room with the number 507 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Geneva is located on the fifth floor. Several elevators lead to the floor or a wide staircase. The hotel has a total of 196 rooms, of which 169 are rooms with marble bathrooms and 27 suites with a view of the Rhone river and partly with private terraces. The design of the house is a well thought-out mix of comfort and stylish, modern design.
Amenities of the superior rooms at Mandarin Oriental Geneva include a large Queen Size Bed, with ample space for two people. The rooms have an area of 30 m² and a view of the garden, as you can see in the pictures below. In addition to the large mirror wall, there are several seating possibilities, a large desk as well as an own printer. In addition to a well-stocked mini-bar, there are snacks and a Nespresso machine with a selection of Nespresso capsules. The spacious bathroom is lined with Greek marble and next to a bathtub there is also a separate shower. A nice feature, the rooms own umbrella can be found behind the main door.
The paintings in the superior rooms are from the Parisian Art Gallery PMco Style. For digital entertainment in the room there is a Bose system and for sure a flat screen TV with AirPlay support.

During my stay at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Geneva, I felt very welcome and also at home. Every contact with the staff felt really friendly, by no means artificial or posed. They have fun dealing with people, and to give them a memorable stay. The selection of the breakfast buffet was not quite as extensive as at other Hotels, the quality of the products was nevertheless A+. In total there are 4 Restaurants, including the Mo Bar. Breakfast is enjoyed at Café Calla with a view of River Rhone.
For the duration of my stay in Geneva, I received a Geneva Pass, with which I could move with public transport at any time in Geneva.
