Park Plaza Hotel Trier, Germany

If you’re looking for a nice 4 Star Hotel for either a leisure or work Trip in the City Center of Trier, you should consider the Park Plaza. With the famous Porta Nigra just a few hundred meters away you can always sneak around to visit it, and all the other historical buildings and sights in Trier. For a night cap or more, I can highly recommend the Plaza Grill, the Park Plaza’s Hotel Bar. Especially the Couch area is very nice, and if you want you can challenge someone to play chess, while sipping a few drinks.

The Check-In at Park Plaza Hotel went very fast, such as arriving to the Hotel. Even though it is located in the city center and with a shopping center nearby there is like a special driveway and there are many trees in the open space in front of the Hotel entrance. The Park Plaza Hotel looks adequate for a 4 Star Hotel, and is not too fancy and design-ish. I reached my Double Room via the Lift and was first a little bummed that the room was so far away in this corridor, but super happy later as I had a direct view on Frankenturm, an inhabited tower from the 11th century. The Hotel Room was spacious and offered everything I needed. A large Bed, a seating area with two chairs, a large TV, a mirrored closet as well as of course a mini-bar and safe and a bathroom with walk-in shower.
The Breakfast Buffet, also important, is served in the ground level and depending on the weather you can even sit outside to start the day. The offered products are fresh and range from scrambled eggs to fresh honey, several cheeses and cured meats to cornflakes and juices. On each table is an isolated coffee pot.
