Restaurant Jamie's Italian in Adelaide, Australia

Jamie’s Italian in Adelaide, Australia, is located central at King William Street, and close to North Terrace and Rundle Mall. Jamie’s Italian is an Italian Restaurant-Chain by famous Chef, Book-Author and so much more, Jamie Oliver. Famous for his TV-Show ‘naked Chef’ and the ’15 Minute Recipes’ Jamie Oliver offers his creations in his worldwide Restaurants. May it be the Location, or the good Food, when I went to Jamie’s Italian in Adelaide at 7 pm the Restaurant was almost completely full. Luckily I got a seat at the counter, with a direct view of the chef preparing the Antipasti.

Even though Jamie’s Italian in Adelaide was almost full the staff, mainly young people, were always super friendly and helpful. As I already had a look at their menu online I knew what I wanted, a big portion Rigatoni Pomodoro. They come in a small and a big size, for 12.90 or 19.90 AUD. The Rigatoni Penne come with a sweet tomato sauce with garlic, basil, mascarpone, mozzarella, Italian hard cheese & herby breadcrumbs. What was so funny to me is that they have original Italian water. Keeping in mind that I just flew in from Europe it was so crazy that the water already travelled the same way. Still thinking about the water, a friendly waitress already brought the Rigatoni to my table. Just a bit over 5 minutes since I ordered, what a fast service! The first bite tasted exactly like Penne in Italia, but with more and more bites I realized that the Penne were still a bit too al dente/uncooked. The Sauce tasted fresh and well seasoned, the combination of Mascarpone and Mozzarella was Genius and I have never ever eaten Pasta with breadcrumbs before, which was interestingly good.

In total, I paid 34 AUD, 22€, for a Coke, a 0,7l Bottle Water and the big Portion Rigatoni. As this is one of the few vegetarian meals at Jamie’s Italian in Adelaide I can absolutely recommend it, if you don’t want a Pizza. Check out other Restaurants in Adelaide.
