#SEATBestMoments Sightseeing in Barcelona with a SEAT Ibiza

Exploring a City by Car makes it possible to see more in a shorter Time. Instead of getting to know the public transport system, and checking the closest stations or stops to the places you want to go, with a Car you are fully mobile and fast from A to B. Luckily I had a red SEAT Ibiza to go on a #SEATbestMoments Sightseeing Tour in Barcelona. On my List were the main works by Antoni Gaudí, the genius. Below you will find 49 Pictures of a nice Tourist Day in the famous Spanish Town, and a Video to give you a better insight into what I’ve done during a weekend with SEAT in Barcelona.

After a delicious Breakfast at W Hotel Barcelona, where I almost could not sleep because the view was just too unbelievable, my companion for the Day and I dropped the Key at the Reception. Soon one of the lovely Guys brought us our Car for the Day, a bright red SEAT Ibiza. On a gloomy Day absolutely the right colour!
Within seconds we had the first destination typed into the integrated Navigation via the Touchscreen, Arc de Triomf. It wasn’t a long ride from the Beach, but as soon as I stopped the Car right in front of the Arch, I already highly appreciated the SEAT Ibiza’s agility and small dimensions. In first gear, I sneaked around the Place, until we found the right spot to take some first pictures. Back in the 19th Century architect Josep Vilaseca I Casanovas built it, in the Neo-Mudéjar style, as the main access gate for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair.

After a quick stop to discuss where to head next, we rolled on again to the world-famous Sagrada Familia by Antoni Gaudí. Construction works started in 1882 and is scheduled to finish in 2026. The Basílica I Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família has a height of 170 meters. In November 2010 Pope Benedict XVI consecrated and proclaimed it a minor basilica, as distinct from a cathedral, which must be the seat of a bishop. After the Sagrada, we did not stop, and so Antoni did not either, and we took the SEAT Ibiza SC FR for another turns around the City to explore more of this stunning architecture. Out next stop was Casa Batlló, a House Gaudí once designed for Batlló family, well-known in Barcelona for its contribution to the textile industry in the city. For all the Photos I luckily squeezed the small Ibiza in (non-existing) ‘parking spaces’ to get the shots.

Once we got the Shots at Casa Milà, it was time to increase altitude and drive up towards Park Güell. We got some panoramic shots at Carretera del Carmel, close to the higher entrance of the Park. Unfortunately, there were no parking spots, so I took some detours, the roads are so hilly up there, and parked the Car at the end of a one-way street close to the lower End of Park Güell, another masterpiece by Antoni Gaudí.
Sooner or later, after a super late lunch at Hard Rock Café, the sun was starting to set. Close to the harbour area, where W Hotel Barcelona is located, I had the windows down, the music volume up and was just enjoying the last bits of this Sightseeing Tour in Barcelona. Usually, I would go by foot and public transport, but having a Car increases your radius, and the backseats were filled with our stuff and jackets, which I otherwise would have had to carry all day. Thanks to the SEAT Ibiza’s Connectivity we could listen to our favourite tunes, and charge the smartphones due to the USB-Port in the centre front. I enjoyed the Sightseeing Tour with this Emocion Red SEAT Ibiza SC FR, the agility made it fun to drive, and the small dimensions were great to find parking spots. I am already missing the Car…
