Tiramisu at Angelino “ai Fori” dal 1947 in Rome

Tiramisu, the Italian Dessert with Caffeine, lots of creams and cookies. If I could award a perfect Dessert, it will be Tiramisu. The best Tiramisu in Rome I had was at Angelino “ai Fori” dal 1947. Even though it was raining I enjoyed a Seat in their covered outside sitting area, right next to a heating pillar. Located on the corner of Largo Corrado Ricci / Via dei Fori Imperiali, you can barely miss the Restaurant Angelino “ai Fori” dal 1947. It’s on the main street coming from Termini, right next to an entrance/exit of the Roman Forum and if you turn your head, you can see the Colosseum. Due to this some might call it a ‘typical tourists place’, and I contradict, but it is now among my favourite places to eat and drink in Rome!

As it started to rain once I visited about half the Roman Forum I hurried to finish everything. Once I left the area all I wanted is to find cover somewhere. And there it was, right on the opposite side of the Street, Restaurant Angelino “ai Fori” dal 1947 in Rome, with their outside sitting areas. Staff quickly came to place me on a Table with a white tablecloth, while others were still eating their Pizze (plural of Pizza) and Pasta, in the middle of the afternoon. But I just wanted some Dessert, and got a dream in a bowl.
Tiramisu is my all-time favourite dessert, may it be the classical Tiramisu with Espresso/Coffee, or when I was younger a Tiramisù alle fragole with strawberries which is perfectly suitable for kids.
For an intense caffeine kick, I opted for a Café, an Espresso, and a Tiramisu. Both for 10€ is definitely hefty and a touristy-price, but believe me, it was so worth it! A strong Espresso, so less that it almost can’t fit your sugar, the way it definitely should be, and the Tiramisu was made of heaven. Once you pulled the big spoon through all the layers you will be fascinated. Creams in different kind of brown-ish shades, each better than the other, and of course including a soft cake layer. Everything was topped with cocoa powder and the size was perfect for a stand-alone afternoon dessert. Watching the people running by, while it was still raining, nibbling on the delicious Tiramisu by Angelino “ai Fori” dal 1947, sitting next to a heating pillar and listening to the waiters joking with other guests. That’s basically Italy in one scene. I can definitely recommend Angelino “ai Fori” dal 1947 near all the main sights of Rome!
