Travel Diary: quick visit to Durgerdam near Amsterdam

Durgerdam is a cute and small little village outside Amsterdam. It’s so close, but the atmosphere is so different, you won’t believe it’s actually a part of Amsterdam. You can either reach the tiny village either by Car, as I did with the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake, or by bike. Durgerdam lies about 7 km from the city centre, if you want to can even reach it by bike. It’s no typical touristy area at all and when visiting this village, keep in mind that there live about 430 inhabitants. There are a few places to buy something to eat and drink and even a parking space a bit outside. You can sit by the water, admire the little colourful houses or simply walk or bike the dunes. This part of Amsterdam-Noord is so relaxing and great for a little mid-day Day Trip from Amsterdam City Center.
