Wellness Hotel Frymburk in South Bohemia

Wellness Hotel Frymburk is located in Frymburk and very close to the Lipno Dam. Nature and Wellness are a perfect combination for a holiday or a long and relaxing weekend; both and more can be found at Wellness Hotel Frymburk in the Sumava / Bohemian Forest area of the Czech Republic. I’ve stayed there for two nights and read here my thoughts on the Hotel, and soon also more about what to do outside the Hotel – if you ever feel the need to leave it.

The 4 star Wellness Hotel Frymburk in South Bohemia is the largest wellness hotel complex in the whole Czech Republic! It’s equipped with its own convention centre, water park, fitness centre, squash courts, bowling lanes, tennis courts, restaurant and more. It’s situated 740 meters above sea level and I even had mountain view from my own balcony. Prices for single rooms in the low season start at 60 euros per night including breakfast and free entrance into aquapark. But depending on your stay you can receive a reduction of up to 30% if you stay longer than 5 days and book in advance of 21 days or earlier. For example, 7 nights in the low season, for example in March or October, cost a total of 280 € (7840 CZK) per person in a single room. The interior of the hotel room is mostly wooden but still equipped with the most necessary things like a TV, safe, or hair dryer. The only thing I’ve been missing was a little fridge or mini-bar, to store and keep the juices I brought with me cool. What I didn’t like about the Hotel is limited to the bathroom only: there was short black hair on the toilet, other guests confirmed ‘hair all over their bathroom’ as well, and in the shower, they only offered a moisturizing hand wash cream, no shower gel or shampoo. If you haven’t brought any shampoo with you you can imagine how my hair was shiny and sticky after washing it with this. Another minus was that the hair dryer refused to work until I switched it on in the fuse box by myself. Besides this, the food buffet for both breakfast and dinner offered a variety of vegetarian meals as well and I always found something delicious.
I’d definitely stay at Wellness Hotel Frymburk in Frymburk at Lipno Dam again, and try some of their wellness and spa treatments.
