Art Center Hôtel de Caumont Aix-en-Provence in an 18th century mansion

Hôtel de Caumont is an art centre in Aix-en-Provence, located in a stunning 18th-century mansion in the city centre. Opened just back in 2015, Culturespaces turned the probably most beautiful mansion of Aix, into a fine location for temporary exhibitions with charming adjacent gardens and the historic lounges. Hôtel de Caumont is easily accessible by foot, as its just a short walk from Cours Mirabeau. The aim is to host important temporary exhibitions dedicated to the great names in the history of art, from the fourteenth century to the present day. During my visit some days ago, in September 2018, the Nicolas de Staël exhibition was still on display. Nicolas de Staël, born in Russia, emerged to be a famous French highly abstract painter.
