Gringos Kitchen Tacos food truck is known for its delicious and authentic Mexican food, and their Birria Tacos did not disappoint during my visit in December 2022. For those who are not familiar, Birria is a traditional Mexican stew traditionally made with beef or goat meat and is typically served with corn tortillas, onions, cilantro, and lime. An absolutely delicious street food, available near Potsdamer Platz in Berlin by Gringos Kitchen.

Gringos Kitchen Tacos offers both meat and vegetarian options for their Birria Tacos. I tried the meat-free version, Quesadillas, and was pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian version. It was made with cheese, pico de Gallo, red onions and cilantro – an easy but so satisfying combination. Besides this, they also offer Tacos with pulled Birria Beef or Vegan Chorizo, and the same topped with extra cheese as Quesa Tacos. They also offer Bowls and Burritos.

One thing that stood out to me about Gringos Tacos was the quality of their ingredients. The tortillas tasted freshly made, and the toppings were all fresh and flavorful. The Birria Tacos can be served with a side of consomé, which is the broth from the stew, for an extra price. This will add an extra layer of flavour to the tacos and make them even more delicious. However, you can also order extra cheese or extra guacamole for your meal. During my visit, I received a free Taqueria Style Salsa with my Quesadillas.

Overall, I highly recommend trying the Birria Tacos from Gringos Kitchen Tacos food truck. Whether you are a meat lover or a vegetarian, you will not be disappointed. The food truck is located near Potsdamer Platz in Berlin and is definitely worth a visit. As announced via Instagram, and the entire account has been deleted/renamed: Munchies is opening a storefront in Berlin this summer. So far they are still keeping their Food Truck alive.
Unfortunately, there are no further details yet, but more will certainly be found out soon via Munchies ™ (@munchies.foodco) | Instagram. Hopefully, the excellence of their Tacos will stay the same!
