As Käsespätzle are undoubtful a very heavy meal, I ordered a small portion and didn’t even finish it. Yet, it was very good, creamy but not overly cheesy, however, it was just too much. Another dish at Gasthausbrauerei Neckarmüller Tübingen I can recommend is the homemade pretzel dumplings with champignon-herb cream sauce and a side salad (full portion for 11,20€). Other vegetarian, meat-free, options are vegetable ravioli (“Maultaschen”), fried potato rösti with Mediterranean vegetables or baked rösti with cheese. Even though the German cuisine is dominated by meat, mainly pork or beef, there are plenty of meat-free options available. And they are no less tasty than the meat dishes. I can definitely recommend Gasthausbrauerei Neckarmüller Tübingen. Due to the great food, friendly and fast service, as well as due to the convenient location right by the river Neckar.
