It may sound like a joke, but deep-fried sushi is literally calling my name. Believe me, there is really nothing better than fresh fried sushi in Dresden. Outside still a little hot and super crispy and crunchy, but inside the cooked rice with a delicious filling. In addition, a good sauce, and everything is perfect. So was my dinner in the city of Dresden at codo Dresden Altstadt. Somewhat hidden in a backyard, the restaurant offers delicious Vietnamese food, drinks, and snacks from noon to evening.
Fried Sushi in Dresden
I didn’t have to browse the menu for long, I knew right away I’d go for the Veggie Tempura Maki. These Sushi are available either as a small portion of 4 pieces, or a large with 8 pieces. I chose the large portion as the main component of my dinner, as well as 2 inari sushi consisting of rice wrapped in a sweet tofu pocket.
Since the restaurant was not too crowded, yet, I got my fried sushi within no time. The service was always attentive and the sushi was absolutely delicious. I can absolutely recommend Codo in Dresden Altstadt. For other recommendations, check out my Dresden Restaurant Reviews.
