Nymphenburg Palace Garden in Munich

Nymphenburg Palace Munich is an ideal Place to visit, whether it’s summer, spring, winter or autumn. Indeed, the huge garden might be even prettier in spring or summer, but now in winter you can go ice-skating in front of the Palace. So, visiting Nymphenburg Palace Munich is recommended all year round. Inside the Museum there is a very pretty museum inside the areas where the King’s and Queen’s used to live. Nevertheless, here I want to show you some Impressions of the Nymphenburg Palace Garden in Munich.

As there is no Underground Station very close to Nymphenburg Palace I’ve used the opportunity to walk all the way along the Lake, from U Rotkreuzplatz to the Palace. It’s a 2 km long alleyway and while walking I imagined how Live was like when there were still King’s and Queen’s living there. If there were more people around, instead of the hundreds of parking Cars, if it was in general more lively or if normal people were even allowed to walk where I walked. Bavaria’s most-known King, King Ludwig II, was born inside Nymphenburg Palace Garden in Munich. Was he allowed to play in the Garden on his own? Nymphenburg Palace was once built as a summer residence and extended over the years. The Garden as we can see it nowadays was re-shaped between 1804 and 1823. The leading garden Artist of this time, Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell, headed the re-landscaping of the Nymphenburg grounds.
