Pink Pizza Hamburg Restaurant Rock Our Kitchen ROK

A pink Pizza is definitely a must in Hamburg. Or, do you rather prefer a black pizza? no, not a completely burnt one, a uber delicious one! The concept of Rock Our Kitchen (ROK) restaurant in Hamburg City is simple, offering customizable pizzas. But it’s not a traditional Italian style trattoria with a checkered red tablecloth, it’s super modern, chic, and fancy. To enjoy my pink Pizza in Hamburg, I went in the early evening, to avoid any possible crowds.

Rock Our Kitchen (ROK) is conveniently located, each in an easy walking distance from Binnenalster, the main train station, as well as the historical Speicherstadt with its stunningly picturesque Elbphilharmonie. Hamburg has no shortage in Restaurants, luckily, but ROK is pleasantly different. The interior looks more like a daytime nightclub than a pizza, soup and salad restaurant. Dark tones and wood dominate the furnishments. As a guest, you either have to order at the counter or already order online (especially useful for takeout). Among the few set pizzas, it’s possible to order a fully customizable pizza. All you want is a gluten-free dough, pizza base, with crème fraîche and Grana Padano parmesan? Sure, everything is possible. The same goes for salads as well. As the first pizza on the menu already fit my taste, I went for the FOREST MUSHROOM PIZZA with a base of beetroot dough. The pink dough. This Pizza costs 11,90€ and is topped with Creme fraîche/Bianco Base, boletus mushrooms, sliced potatoes, potato truffle dressing, Grana Padano cheese, fresh oregano, and pepper. Of course, you can add any other topping you would like, such as bacon or bell pepper, or …

As it was still quiet at Rock Our Kitchen Hamburg, the server and cashier even served my Pizza and Salad, I didn’t have to pick it up from the counter. What a service, and how nice! The taste of the Pizza was so good, I couldn’t stop eating it. Having the side salad was a bad idea, as it prevented me from enjoying the delicious pink pizza! Important to mention, the salad was tasty as well, but, still a Salad and no Pizza 😉
I can definitely recommend ROK Pizza in Hamburg and will definitely eat there again! The next time I will probably get one for taking away to enjoy it somewhere near the water in Hamburg if the weather is cooperating of course.

  1. […] Fortunately for vegetarians, there is a good selection of meat-free dishes at Oberhafen Kantine Restaurant. From the appetizers selection, I opted for an Oberhafen-Knusperfladen with pear slices, goat cheese (& walnuts according to the menu), for a price of 9.50 €. Of course, it’s just a starter, but for the price, I would have expected a bit more. The crunchy flatbread was really crispy, with a delicious topping of thin pear slices and sheep’s cheese with carrot rasps. A great combination, especially on one of those last summer days. As an alternative, I can highly recommend this Restaurant with Pink Pizza in Hamburg. […]
