The Radisson Blu Elizabete Hotel in Riga, Latvia, is located in the city centre and an ideal place to explore the city. Most of the Radission Blu’s 228 rooms overlook the nearby Vermanes Park (Vērmanes Dārzs) and free wifi in the rooms and public places in the hotel make your stay even more enjoyable. In 2014 Riga was the European Capital of Culture and a lot cultural activities and events happened during the past year.
The check-in process in the lobby was very fast and convenient and When I entered my room I discoverad it as spacious, stylish, clean and comfortable. Besides the wall-mounted flatscreen TV the Room featured a table and chair as an office area, an armchair, a twin-bed, wardrobe and mini-bar and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The breakfast buffet the other featured everything from vegetables and several fruits to cheese and sausages/meat to egg dishes. The choice of bread was rich and, what totally needs to be mentioned, super delicious. The variety and taste of the breads in Latvia in general were really good and comparable to german bread.
For those who want a balance to the active live can enjoy and work-out in the hotels own on-site fitness centre with ample equipment and a refreshing sauna. And for those who want to stay inside for dinner can enjoy one in the hotel-own restaurant, or order a room-service menu.
I can totally recommend the Radisson Blu Elizabete Hotel in Riga. The stay was more than comfortable, the breakfast buffet versatile and delicious. Free wifi as well as the secured underground parking made the stay very pleasing. Even though I had one of the less rooms not overlooking the Park next to the Hotel I could benefit from the short walking distance to the inner city with its loads of restaurants and bars. I will soon publish some Travel Tips for Riga, stay tuned.
