Restaurant Alte Bank in Meersburg

Café and Restaurant Alte Bank in Meersburg is located in the upper part of the City. The Terrance is spread over the Schlossplatz of the beautiful New Castle Meersburg. Alte Bank directly translated means “Old Bench” which definitely has a long history. On a hot summer day the City wasn’t well visited and so I got a good table with a nice view under the shadow spending umbrellas.

Besides traditional, southern German Dishes, I had the Salad “Alte Bank” with roasted sunflower seeds. The Price for this Salad was 9,50€, but due to the Location it was worth it. Even though the Restaurant was far from busy the waitress took her time, seems to be standard for touristy-places. The size of the Salad was definitely okay, but the sunflower seeds were just too much. Sure, the Salad is offered and served with them, but there were just too much. Plus, the Dressing of the Salad was not too tasty, so overall the next time I’d order something else or just a drink to refresh while exploring Meersburg at Lake Constance.
