The Czech City České Budějovice is better known as the hometown of the famous beer brand Budweis. In this case it’s just more than appropriate to have Dinner at a Restaurant that is specialized in good beer. The Restaurant Masné Krámy is located in the city center of Budweis and you can even book guided tours through their own brewery and production area, to learn more about how they brew their beer. As it was quite busy when I visited the Restaurant in the evening I’d definitely recommend to reserve a table, especially if you want to eat there in a group.

As the options for vegetarians are, as usually, rather limited I’ve chosen the fried Edam cheese coated in breadcrumbs served with tartar sauce and cranberries for 109 CZK (= 4€) plus a mixed vegetables salad with herb cream dressing for 40 CZK (= 1,80 €). The cheese was really crispy and in combination with the cranberry sauce it tasted just so good. As mixed salads are often a mix of vegetables instead of salads in the Czech Republic, as I noticed during my Trip, you could find more bell pepper pieces than green salad leaves, what I really liked. All in all the Food, Beer, and service were really good but for me everything took a little too long with 2 full hours for drinks and food only. But I’d ever come back to have Lunch or Dinner at restaurant Masné Krámy in Budweis / České Budějovice as the price / performance ratio is very good and delicious.
