Baden-Wurttemberg in Germany is not just known for great places to visit, the wine in this southern german Region is famous and very tasty as well. With having the Tourism Side and the Wineries the country honors and rewards the good performance in connecting both. For the fourth year Landesmarketing Baden-Württemberg selected two winners and two recognitions among all the submitted projects.

The Ceremony by the Gourmet state Baden-Wurttemberg was held on July 22nd in beautiful Meersburg, overlooking Lake Constance and the vineyards of Meersburg. The first Winner-Title went to the City of Müllheim for their “Müllheimer Weinlesebuch” with culinary Author reading and the fictional character Günter Gmelin as theatrical city tour guide. The other one went to Winery Singer in Korb im Remstal for their vinotheque “wine basket” and the cultural and entertainment activities they connect with their wineyard.
The first recgonition went to a City close to Lake Constance, to the Winery by Count of Baden and Palace Administration Salem – State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Wuerttemberg for their Adventure tour “Wine History and Stories” and the other one to Genossenschaftskellerei Rosswag-Mühlhausen eG for their Gourmet Region Lembergerland.

Prior to the Ceremony both wine princesses of Baden, Isabelle Vetter (right), and Wurttemberg, Stefanie Schwarz (left), invited the present guests to a tasting of each two white and rosé wines. One each grew in Wurttemberg and the other one in the Baden part of Baden-Wurttemberg. My favorite of all was the Müller-Thurgau white wine by state winery Meersburg Baden that you can buy here. It’s a light and fruity wine that tasted chilled really good, even before noon.
