Crispy chips and caesar salad at QMUH in Ravensburg, Oberschwaben, Germany

When imagining a restaurant in southern Germany, you will probably imagine plenty of litre jugs of beer and hearty dishes with lots of meat. However, even in the south of Germany, you will find Restaurants with more modern cuisine, in addition to the traditional ones. One of those more modern restaurants in Oberschwaben, upper Swabia, is QMUH in Ravensburg. Here you can enjoy all-day breakfast as well as snacks, burgers, tarte flambée, Steak, Salads, cocktails, craft beer and more. They offer a small selection of healthier meals, as well as fried onion rings or their famous Pure Chips. Imagine crispy chips, but slightly thicker cut, well seasoned with a paprika-salt mix with mayonnaise and ketchup. It’s really as good as it sounds. To balance out the fried potato slices, I enjoyed a caesar salad with plenty of croutons and Grana Padano cheese. A delight itself, but even better with the pure chips as a side 😉

QMUH in Ravensburg ist worth a try. Offering breakfast all day, with a lovely covered terrace for those climate-change worthy days year-round, as well as an indoor sitting area with tables and more relaxed lounge chairs. Check out this website to have a look at their menu.
But, as modern as this small restaurant chain seems, their website is german-only, there is no default English version available – you might want to use Google Translate to understand their menu properly.
