Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen is definitely one of the most designy and architectural outstanding Hotels in Copenhagen. The 4 star Hotel is located at Center Blvd. 5 what is only 7 km away from the airport, or in a distance of 5 km to the City Center of Copenhagen and the Christiansborg Palace. The Bella Sky Hotel is also just a stone-throw away from the Bella Center, Scandinavia’s largest exhibition and conference centre.
The 76.5 m tall building, consisting of two inclined towers, offers space for 812 rooms on 23 floors, making the Bella Sky the largest Hotel in whole Scandinavia (for those of you who don’t know, Scandinavia comprises the three kingdoms of Denmark, Norway and Sweden). Already from far, I was very impressed by the Architecture of the Bella Sky Hotel. After entering the Reception area the general feeling of being impressed even turned into being amazed. The Hotel is very bright, open and even green (speaking of plants).
If you are a Lover of clean Scandinavian design you will definitely love the Bella Sky Copenhagen! My Room was a “Executive Corner” Room, with a view on City Golf Copenhagen and the City in far. The room is, depending on its location, between 34 and 43 sqm big and it has a huge Queen Bed, for one to two people. The windows can not be opened but there is an air-condition in every room and the windows go from the floor to the ceiling. So again, even the rooms are bright, if you want to, and with a Desk and a Chair to work and a Sofa and TV to Relax the Room is equipped with everything you need, no matter if you are a business or leisure traveler. The Room Service is availabe 24/7 and the Mini-bar is for a fee.
What I can also highly recommend is the Sky Bar at the very Top of the Bella Sky Building. Enjoy a Cocktail, or two, and an amazing view all over the City. Lunch is served there as well, but you should go there when the sun is setting to have an even better view. The probably only thing I didn’t like about my stay at Bella Sky Copenhagen was the breakfast experience the other morning. For a Hotel with more than 800 rooms there was just one huge room to serve everyone. It was so noisy and there was always something missing from the buffet, either the cheese or some fruits or even tables and chairs – I’ve even seen some people eating while standing with their plate in their hands! As the Hotel is also used for larger groups, for conferences and more, with fixed times I really caught a bad time when everyone was trying to have breakfast.
But besides the minus for the breakfast my overall experience at Hotel Bella Sky Copenhagen was really pleasant and I’m looking forward to stay there the next time I’m staying in Copenhagen.
