Moxy Munich’s Airport Hotel’s location is very convenient. Landing late in Munich and flying out again early the next day I was looking for an affordable Airport Hotel close to Munich Airport. As I did not want to sleep at the Hilton directly at the Airport, as they still have renovations going on, I chose Moxy Munich Airport Hotel. Just two stops with a public Bus from the Airport Plaza the location is just perfect. With almost one hour to the City Center by Public Transport (S-Bahn), it’s better to stay close to Munich’s Airport. As I just missed the Bus, that operates about every 40 minutes, I had an UBER for a total 9€.
Moxy Hotels are part of the Marriott Hotel Group and with this new Hotel concept, they are focussing on young and hip travellers. Already by entering the Hotel you definitely feel a modern and funky vibe going on. The Interior is all new, as the Hotel just opened earlier this Year, with many Chairs and Tables to chill or have a drink and/or snack. As there is no separate Reception, to check-in you have to go to the Bar (right side when entering the Hotel). The Check-In Process took a little longer as a new staff was handling my check-in, but after a few minutes, I was able to go to my Room on the second Floor of four. My Standard Room at Moxy Munich Airport Hotel was big enough for one Person and one night. The Queen-Bed was comfortable and even though I had a room facing the street and the Airport, I only heard one plane during landing in the evening and nothing more. Right when entering the Room there are two hooks and three hangers and a large mirror, the closet area. There is also a lounge chair, a working table with a stool and a Flatscreen-TV with AirPlay Function. Thanks to this you can stream your Apple Device’s content on the TV and play it from there. May it be Music from your iPhone/iPad or a Movie from your MacBook (what I did). So convenient! Something else genius are several USB Outlets in the Room, to instantly charge your devices.
In the bathroom, there is a hair dryer and a soap and shower gel/shampoo from muk. Until this stay I haven’t heard from this company but both my skin and hair felt so soft after using it, definitely a recommendation from me, after using it once!
There is no Restaurant at Moxy Munich Airport Hotel, but, there is a Snack bar during the day and night and in the morning a continental breakfast. In the evening I had a 1 Liter Bottle of Water for 5€ and a Ceasar Salad for 7€, you can find a Picture of it below. The Breakfast Selection in the morning seemed all fresh and offered various products. The Price is 10€ per Person and you can enjoy black coffee, juices from a machine, bavarian Brezels, Cereals, Yoghurt, hard boiled eggs, pastries, ham and cheese, and some more.
I definitely liked my first stay at a Moxy Hotel, and the close location to Munich Airport. The WiFi is complimentary, but was a bit slow during my visit (I had to pause YouTube Videos in HD to watch them properly). Prices start at 79€ and for sure you can use the Marriott Rewards loyalty program.
