Schlosscafé in the Palm House at Nymphenburg Castle Munich

Schlosscafé in the Palm House at Nymphenburg Castle Munich

For a little Break after visiting Nymphenburg Castle Munich the Schlosscafé in the Palm House is the address. I thought. A Classic Chic Coffee House next to the most beautiful Castle in Munich, the Standard should be high or at least above average. It turned out even a McCafé would have been better.

The Schlosscafé in the Palm House at Nymphenburg Castle Munich offers Cakes, Coffee and a variety of warm and cold dishes. In summer they offer baskets to have a picnic at the Castle Garden, how nice. As I visited the Café just for an afternoon snack and Coffee I went for a Waffle and a Coffee with Cream. It first took quite a while until the Service noticed that I want to order, probably because I was the youngest inside. A motivated Service that is willing to work and be friendly to paying customers, that’s what I couldn’t find that Day at Schlosscafé in the Palm House. After some time my Coffee and the Waffle arrived to my Table and already after the first bite of that Waffle I was irritated. There were huge sugar balls inside. I simply could not eat this sugar-bomb.. as the cherry on Top the Coffee was absolutely not tasty, as well. At least the Cream tasted like Cream.

Of course I complained about the Waffle, as someone noticed me again after more than 10 Minutes sitting still and not eating, if this is normal here and received a simple “Yes”. No further “Oh, you didn’t like it” or anything, nothing. I payed and immediately went off. Even though the Café inside was not even half full I literally haven’t seen the Service at all, and the Food and Coffee were not good. Schlosscafé in the Palm House at Nymphenburg Castle Munich is definitely not recommendable, in my opinion!

This Place somehow looks so old, and the Waffle does not look good for Nymphenburg Castle…
