The best Falafel (Falafel Wrap) at Lake Constance is available at LAZIZA Friedrichshafen. Already opened last year, I just visited this Restaurant now, after discovering it by accident on Google Maps. Friedrichshafen itself isn’t necessarily known for innovative gastronomic ventures (besides high priced organic restaurants), therefore it was exciting to now have a Restaurant that offers Falafels. Homemade Falafels. Besides the chickpea balls, they also offer Pizza, Fries, Salads and Burgers – basically something for everyone. I visited their Restaurant in the afternoon, about 30 minutes before they closed for the afternoon. Right on time to order a Falafel Wrap to eat inside, instead of for take-away. Besides some seats inside their restaurant at Albrecht-Dürer-Straße, they offer a delivery service and a reduced price if you pick your order up by yourself.
Eventually, I went for a Falafel Wrap Menu consisting of an all-vegetarian Falafel Wrap and a can of Coke, for 5,50€. You can choose between Coke, Sprite, Fanta or Mezzo Mix as a drink to accompany any menu they offer (with Pizza Margherita for 6,50€, XL Burger for 7,00€). The Falafel Wrap was filled from the top to the bottom with at least 4 or 5 Falafel balls (I didn’t count them…), pickles, salat, onions and sauce. The individual price is 4,50€ and the taste was so good. Each Falafel was slightly crispy outside but still tender inside, exactly the way Falafel should be fried. Also, you could definitely taste that they were homemade, that’s just something you’ll taste from the very first bite. Friendly service and even better Food, I can definitely recommend LAZIZA in Friedrichshafen! The only thing I’d look for in the future would be a Falafel Burger, like I had in London, as a meat-free addition to their already existing Hamburger and Cheeseburger.
