This autumn you can enjoy a very special autumn fare ticket for using the Catamaran to cross Lake Constance. The catamaran service connects two of the biggest cities on the shores of the Lake, Friedrichshafen and Konstanz. Both have plenty of sights and activities to discover, thus are both recommended for at least a day visit.
The catamaran flies particularly cheaply over the lake in October and November. From 5 October 2020, with the introduction of the low autumn rate, adults can enjoy a round trip on the catamaran boats by Der Katamaran for only 13.50 euros on the same day, or 6.50 euros for children. For families – two adults and up to three children – the round trip costs 33 euros.
The promotional ticket is available until 25 November 2020 at the ticket machines in the ports of both Konstanz and Friedrichshafen.
With the arrival of the colder season, the popular combined rates for Sea Life and the Archaeological National Museum in Constance will again become cheaper. They combine a round trip with the catamaran and admission for the respective combined partner. The Combined Ticket for the National Archaeological Museum costs 16 euros for adults and only 5.50 euros for children up to 14 years. Catamaran and Sea Life cost 26.50 euros for adults and 15.30 euros for children. Read more about the Catamaran boat on Lake Constance and its amenities in my Der Katamaran travel review on Lake Constance.
The autumn ticket is available at the ticket machines as well as at the staffed ticket offices in the ports in Konstanz and Friedrichshafen. However, the combined tickets for the museums in Konstanz are only available at the vending machines and the ticket office in Friedrichshafen.
