The best way to discover a City is to enjoy views from a Rooftop. If Rooftops aren’t high enough, you have to go even higher. To enjoy the best views in the Baden-Wuerttemberg capital, I went on top of Stuttgart TV Tower. Located a bit outside the city centre, on a hill above town, Stuttgart TV Tower solely is 207 m high, guaranteeing stunning views for kilometres. Constructions for this Tower started in 1954 and were eventually finished in 1957. Back at that time, no one really believed this construction of a height of more than 200m would even stand. There simply has never been anything like this before. As you can imagine, as the Tower survived perfectly until today, everything worked out. Another nice anecdote is, that even in the mid-50s the architects wanted the Tower to be open to the public even if transmitting TV and Radio signals is not needed anymore.
