It’s a typical tradition which I enjoy so much, the German Coffee & Cake time. It’s almost a celebratory moment, which is weekly celebrated by many families on Sunday afternoons. Or, whenever family and friends come together. It doesn’t need a certain reason, just getting together and devouring delicious cake and a hot beverage. In Baden-Baden, after a stroll across town, we were ready for a snack. With the temperatures declining and this fall-like moist hanging in the air, something cosy was needed. Luckily we came across Kaffeehaus Baden-Baden by Böckeler, an ideal place for German Coffee & Cake as we soon found out!

Kaffeehaus Baden-Baden is a bakery, confectionery and Café / Coffeehouse in the heart of the city centre. It’s operated by Konditorei Böckeler, a Medium-sized company with six shops, headquartered in Bühl south of Baden-Baden. You can enjoy everything from breads, rolls to handmade chocolates, macarons, tarts and seasonal products such as plum cake.

In Baden-Baden we went for two of their cakes, and two cups of coffee. A cup of coffee is priced at 3,20 Euros, a Torte cake at 5,20 Euros. The prices are each for Restaurant consumption including table service. In particular, we went for a Chocolate cream cake and a raspberry mascarpone cake. Both were utterly delicious, and the size was just right.

Even though both the indoor and outdoor areas of the Kaffeehaus Baden-Baden were packed on this Saturday afternoon, the service was fast, friendly and attentive. I can highly recommend this place for a typical german coffee & cake in Baden-Baden.
