Located directly on the water, with a view of the mountains and the regular ferry, the Italian delicacies taste much better. The restaurant La Terrazza Metropole in Bellagio on Lake Como is the hotel restaurant of the 3-star hotel “Albergo Metropole Bellagio”. The tables with the white tablecloths directly on the water were the most sought-after on the evening of my visit, but the second row also still justifies for this best view Restaurant in Bellagio. Bellagio is known for its picturesque location overlooking the Alps at the tip of the peninsula that separates the two southern arms of Lake Como. The waiters at La Terrazza Metropole are typically Italian, polite but sometimes opinionated. The menu of La Terrazza Metropole is extensive and also published online here (prices might not be accurate anymore). The only dish I chose was Tagliolini freschi al pomodoro pachino e basilico (“Fresh noodles with Pachino tomatoes and basil” for back then already 13 Euro), and a Nutella crepe for dessert. The pasta was delicious and even just in case if it wasn’t, I can still recommend the restaurant for the view of Lake Como alone. When visiting this Restaurant in Bellagio in the summer months, make sure to make a reservation to still receive any table!
