Press Release

Finally vacation, finally hiking – and all that completely free without having to worry about restrictions or dangers: Allgäu mountain school, but also hoteliers and tourist resorts offer their guests some new tours, some existing ones are bundled and presented in a compact form. They all run only in the Bavarian area and meet all requirements. Hosts take care of the holidaymakers personally: Because the wellness areas in the hotels are closed, the hoteliers are increasingly hiking with their guests. Instead of swimming before breakfast, there is now a sunrise hike. Or cooking evenings, the hoteliers definitely don’t run out of ideas here. In Bad Hindelang there are now 20 new services included on the Bad Hindelang PLUS guest card. These include very special ones: locals take guests early in the morning on sunrise hikes, plant trees with them or explain how butter and cheese are made from scratch. The Hindelang show how to sew fragrant hay pillows, prepare wild herb salad or Kässpatzen, blow an alphorn or how the Allgäu humpback meadows were mowed with the scythe in the old days. https://www.badhindelang.de/

Mountaineering weeks and rediscover the E5

The popular E5, whereby the Oberstdorf – Meran section is a true classic among long-distance hiking trails, has now been re-launched by the Alpine School: Udo Zehetleitner, founder of the Oberallgäu Mountain School in Burgberg, designed and offered the E5 more than 40 years ago. Today this trail is a classic. His son Bernd is now making the E5, which crosses Germany from Lake Constance to Oberstdorf, comfortable experience for hikers. You will spend the night in the valley and the guest can choose between the one-week package or join the stages individually every day.
