Hotel De Goudfazant Restaurant Amsterdam was one of the most surprising Restaurants i have ever dined at. Already super satisfied with other Restaurants in Amsterdam, Hotel De Goudfazant brought everything to a new level. Located inside a former workshop for cars the interior is industrially but unique. The ceiling is high and the area spacious, with an open kitchen and a wide view over the water and Kompaseiland. There is no menu on the Hotel De Goudfazant Website but you can be sure everyone will find something delicious. Even as a vegetarian I had amazingly good dishes, and I’m still dreaming of them.
my fabolous Dinner at Hotel De Goudfazant, Amsterdam
The atmosphere at Hotel De Goudfazant Amsterdam is elegant but relaxed. Just ideal for a cozy evening mea with delicious food. When I went there for Dinner the sun was still up, but right about to set. From course to course it was setting even more, and gone by Dessert and the Cheese Plate. As the weather was good and summer-ish warm the doors were open and you could watch the sun setting process.
The Dinner at Hotel De Goudfazant started off with some shared appetizers on the Table. Variations of meat, some pickles and crispy thin bread. For the meat-free people they served two bites, one with gorgonzola cheese and one with Tapenade, always accompanied by white wine. For vegetarians a mix of beetroot, bread crackers and another tasteful mouse followed as a first course. The second, or main course, was my absolute favorite: Fried Zucchini Croquettes with sweet potato on potato puree. It was so good, I could have easily eaten another two portions. And even still I could eat it every day as the flavors were so delicate. The Service was always friendly and once they brought a shared cheese plate and dessert for our group of the evening, I knew I had to come back. Everyone received their own chocolate mousse in a vanilla creme sauce with crispy flakes on top. I have never had a chocolate-vanilla combination like this, as chocolate cake and vanilla ice-cream of course, but not like this. Barely anything compares to the flavourful menu at Hotel de Goudfazant.
Review of a one-of-a-kind Dinner Restaurant in Amsterdam
If you are looking for a Restaurant in Amsterdam to have Dinner, and enjoy exquisite cuisine, make sure to check back on Hotel De Goudfazant and see if they have any Tables left. As the Restaurant seemed very full when I visited I’d recommend to book something in advance. You can find contact details on their Homepage, as linked below.
