Pad Thai at coa Restaurant Frankfurt Myzeil

coa Restaurant Frankfurt Myzeil JoyDellaVita

coa is an Asian Restaurant Chain with several Restaurants all over Germany. Among the 4 Restaurants in Frankfurt I went to coa Frankfurt MyZeil. MyZeil is a big Shopping Center in the City Center of Frankfurt, near Hauptwache. coa, Cuisine of Asia, offers a selection of the best Asian dishes. As the menu on their website is in german only, here is a google-translated version. coa offers vegetarian Options as well, of course, traditional dishes with beef and chicken.

coa on the fourth floor of MyZeil is open from 11am on weekdays, and from 12am on sundays. And for sure, the busiest times are during Lunch and during Dinner Time. Luckily I god a free space, in the evening. As I haven’t tried them ever before, I ordered a Rainbow Summer Roll, and as a main dish Pad Thai with Tofu. To get an idea of how the other dishes look like I can recommend the coa Instagram Account. The Staff was very friendly, and after ordering and a short phone call my Food already arrived. No later than 5 minutes after ordering, impressive! As I don’t like plum I was able to change the plum dip of my summer rolls to the peanut dip, with no extra charges. The vegetarian Rainbow Summer Roll is filled with mango, avocado, peppers, carrots, red cabbage, Romanasalad and rice noodles. The Pad Thai is with rice noodles, peppers, spring onions, egg, peanuts, soy sprouts, toasted onions in a tamarind sauce with, as an extra, baked Tofu. The Tofu was for an extra charge of 1,50€. The solo price of one roll with a Dip is 2,90, the price of the base Pad Thai is 7,90€. As far as I’ve seen they do not offer special Lunch Menus for a reduced price, but, I went there for Dinner. The Pad Thai was okay, but even though I prefer my Food a little spicy it was partly very spicy. If you don’t like spicy Food I’d recommend to order it differently. My highlight were the Summer Rolls. Fresh taste and fresh ingredients, with a Peanut Dip that was just dreamy. The next time I’ll definitely oder “Take 3”, 3 Spring Rolls of your choice for 5,90€.

Ideally located in the City Center of Frankfurt, and open daily, I can definitely recommend coa Frankfurt MyZeil. Ad it’s located on the fourt floor you can enjoy some nice views from there over parts of Frankfurt. Right next to coa there is Pommes Freunde, a Restaurant specialized on Belgian Fries with differnt sauces and dips.

  1. […] MyZeil is located right in the shopping area in the centre of Frankfurt, in the street Zeil, and easy to reach by public transport and/or foot. To find them you can either take the elevator to the highest level, or you can take several escalators that take you up each one level at a time. Once you’re there you can also enjoy the view on the shopping street and parts of the city. I’ll soon share a “Places with a view” Article about the best views on and in Frankfurt, but till then you can enjoy your fries. But besides Fries, that is probably the most popular dish served by Pommes Freunde Frankfurt at MyZeil, they also offer Burger, Currywurst and Hot Dogs. Normally they use 100% beef for their patties, but you can also order a Veggie- order Halal-Version of their Burgers/Currywurst or Hot Dogs. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ll definitely try one of their Veggie “Hütten Burger” the next time I visit them (it’s made out of a Patty of your choice, salad, tomato, cheddar cheese, bacon, pickle and crispy onions). As as I side I will as usually have a small portion of their thin Fries, that cost 1,95 €. They are cooked in fat and always crispy on point. But the best part comes now, their free and ‘original Belgian sauces’. You can choose between 10 different sauces, and try as much and many as you want. My favourites are the Tartar Sauce, the Pepper one, Cocktail and their own ‘Original Freunde Ketchup’. Right next to Pommes Freunde you can find coa – Cuisine of Asia. […]
