Lugano already convinces with a dreamy location right by the shores of Lake Lugano, with many sky-high mountains and nature all over. Another highlight to me was Parco Ciani. Situated next to the old town, the main city centre by the harbour, the location couldn’t be any better. Relaxing in Parco Ciani right by the Lake has been my ultimate activity, before leaving Ticino again towards Zurich. Just sitting on a bench, getting lost in the captivating story of a good book, with the wind softly blowing through the leaves and flowers, a sweet sound interacting as synchronized with the shattering waves on the shore. A perfect, quiet, moment. Actually I shouldn’t recommend Parco Ciani as I don’t want it to be too crowded the next time I visit, but still, you should definitely visit when seeking a quick peaceful moment.
By the way, Parco Ciani Lugano has also no shortage of awesome photo locations. Especially the “gate to the lake”, as you can see above.
