5 Star Luxury Hotel DAIOS COVE near Agios Nikolaos, Crete

What I like the most about arriving late to a Hotel is the surprise you have the first morning. Due to my very late arrival to the 5 Star Luxury Hotel DAIOS COVE near Agios Nikolaos on Crete, also due to a slight flight delay, the check-in procedure was kept short and within minutes I was driven to my Room with an electrical golf-cart. Already on this short ride, I got the first glimpse at the size of the Resort. Once the first rays of the sun were touching my balcony (it was so dark at night, I didn’t even pay attention to what’s right in front my window!), when shades of yellow, orange, red and purple were appearing and rising on the horizon, I got the first impression – the Resort Areal of DAIOS COVE is impressively huge!

The story of the Cove is really nice, as it actually saved a life. 30 years ago a man was on his boat when he went into turbulences and seeking for a place to find shelter. And guess what, he survived and was so thankful, and bought the area later. Years have passed and in 2010 the DAIOS COVE Resort opened in this exact Cove. Nowadays the Cove is giving more than shelter to Tourists, it’s a modern and sophisticated place to retreat guests with luxury, service and pure nature. 200 villas are built on the hill around the private beach for hotel guests only. Besides the sunbeds at the sandy beach, there are also plenty of beds around the huge pool. As the Resort is built on a Hill everything is located on different levels, luckily 3 Funicular in total are connecting the levels.
