‘Kiosk Rembrandt Van Gogh’ at Amsterdam’s Museumplein was a real lucky strike for me. In the late afternoon, looking for a snack, I walked by the ‘Museum Food Stands’. Not necessarily wanting to sit inside any restaurant or café and not eating while walking I found a sign for hot waffles. Right close to the popular i amsterdam sign at Museumplein, where some of the major museums in Amsterdam are located.
As I noticed while waiting for my hot waffle, everyone else was queuing for soft ice. At least every second customer ordered the soft ice. And these people were right! Hot Waffles are sold for 3,50 € each, plus 1€ for each topping such as nutella, cream or soft ice. I ordered a hot waffle with soft ice for 4,50€, and sat right in the first row to Museumsplein. People watching, a delicious hot waffle and an even better soft ice. ‘Kiosk Rembrandt Van Gogh’ at Amsterdam’s Museumplein will be my go-to place from now on in Amsterdam, for a soft-ice to go or another waffle. The outside sitting area is in the shade and is free for ‘Kiosk Rembrandt Van Gogh’ customers.
