How much will food and drinks cost on Lufthansa flights in 2022? How much will one have to pay for snacks and coffee on board this year, and what will be offered at all? Service on demand could be a fitting description for Lufthansa’s onboard service. Everything is more individual, no longer for the masses but everyone can choose what they want. And pay extra for it accordingly. For all those who are considering boarding an aircraft again this year from 2022, a few things are new. We have become accustomed to the mandatory wearing of masks on board. But there are also other new things at Lufthansa. One major innovation is the Lufthansa OnBoard Delights. A limited but varied range of food and drinks. This is an offer that has never been offered before by the German airline with the crane.

Catering on Lufthansa flights from 2022 onwards

Lufthansa Onboard Delights menus will be available on short- and medium-haul flights. For very short flights of up to 30 minutes, passengers will only receive a small Lufthansa chocolate; for flights between 30 and 60 minutes, in addition to the mini bar of chocolate, they will also receive a bottle of water, currently 0.33 litres. For flights of 60 minutes or more, Onboard Delights are available for chargeable drinks, meals and snacks.
These “extras” can only be ordered on board from the service staff and paid “cash less” by EC or credit card or via smartphone with Apple Pay or V-Pay.

The cooperation partners for the new catering on board Lufthansa flights include: Dallmayr, Dean&David and share.
