Healthy and vegetarian dishes, at McDonald’s? Often this is just a dream, however, in Austria, you will get lucky. The Vegetarian McWrap with Valess Schnitzel by McDonald’s Austria is ‘kinda healthy’, 100% vegetarian and also very delicious. During a recent discount period, I ordered a McWrap including a 0,5l Softdrink for just 4,00€. Compared to the regular price of just alone 4,80€ for the Wrap not at all a bad deal.
Actually, McDonald’s introduced me to the best ‘vegetarian meat alternative’, Valess Schnitzel. Made out of Milk, coated and pre-fried you only have to heat it up at home to enjoy a meat-free Schnitzel. Since at least a year now you can get Valess at McDonald’s across Austria, as an alternative to their Chicken Patty. For many dishes (Burgers) you can trade the Chicken to the Milk Patty, without any further costs.
