Have you ever slept in a Castle? A real castle from the 16th century? As part of Swiss Historic Hotels, you can sleep in a Castle from 1575 very close to Lake Constance in Rorschacherberg in Switzerland. Castle Hotel Wartegg is nestled in a beautiful English garden and besides this, follows ecological standards. Both the Hotel and Garden can be easily reached by Car, it’s not too far from St. Gallen, or with public transport. Personally, I took a Ferry to cross Lake Constance (coming from Germany, took a Train to Rorschach and eventually a Bus to ‘Wilen Rorschacherberg’.

The hotel also provided bikes for rent, which I used to explore the scenic cycling trails around the lake.
