According to the internet, you can get the best Italian Panini Sandwiches at PASSION Como. Also, the offered Sandwiches are probably the meal with the best value for money you can get at all of Lake Como – the price per Panini is only 5€. Open 6 days a week, PASSION Como is an institution you do not want to miss during your stay in the city – may it be a day trip because of the market in Como or a proper holiday at the Lake to soak up all the magnificence of the area.
Where to find PASSION in Como
The Sandwich Shop PASSION Como is located in the heart of the city. Whenever you are just strolling around the City Center, chances are high you will automatically stumble across the store. It’s only a small one door shop with some waiting area and a counter. There are a half hand full of high chairs to more or less lean against while waiting for your order, but not enough space to actually sit down and enjoy your meal in peace. But this is also not necessary, you simply want to grab your delicious Italian sandwich and eat it outside at some lovely place or on a bench at the shores of Lake Como. With the sound of crashing waves in the background, your 5€ sandwich will taste a tad better anyway. 5€ Italian Panini Sandwich in Como
At first I was quite sceptical, can you really get a high quality Panini Sandwich for just 5€? Actually, yes! Upon entering PASSION in Como I felt the vibes immediately, with hard beats blasting through the store. No cliche romantic Italian pop, but energising beats. Luckily I went to the store just before rush hour, and only had a small quee in front of me. Once the touchscreen ordering device was vacant, I could start placing my order. A sandwich with cooked prosciutto ham, mozzarella and vegetables – a classic Italian sandwich, simple but satisfying. Jen from indulgenteats.com recommends the panini sandwiches as well.
The only regret I had about getting the 5€ Panini at Passion Como? Only getting one for my partner, toddler and myself. We could have easily devoured two… which would have gotten us another chance to try another flavour combination. Well, next time!
