SunExpress Flight Review to Antalya / Turkish Riviera – Trip Report

SunExpress Flight Review to Antalya at the Turkish Riviera

Turkish Airline SunExpress operates multiple flights a day from all over Europe to Turkey. The main airport for sun-seeking tourists is Antalya at the Turkish Riviera. An area that is so diverse, from sandy beaches and clear water to mountains to historical sites, and don’t miss the friendly and welcoming turkish people. If you either want to escape the rainy european summer for a few days, or want to spent a full week at the Beach, SunExpress will take care of you. Tickets for the flight can be wither purchased online on the airlines website, or in combination with a holiday package at a Travel Agency. Check out this PDF for their Summer ’16 Route Network.

Special services by SunExpress on my flight to Antalya at the Turkish Riviera

X-Leg Seats for 20 € per Person and Flight

The Boeing 737-800 by Sunexpress are equipped with Economy Class only. If you still want a little more comfort they offer a limited number of XLeg Seats. The legroom is simply amazing, I could almost fully stretch my legs! These XLeg Seats are situated in the emergency rows 16 and 18. If you want to book yourself a seat there you can do it up to 36 hours prior departure on this site. The Price is 20 € per Person and Flight, if you’re a tall person or just want some more space, you will love it.

SunCafé Meal Selection on International Flights for 12 € per Person

Usually, there is no complimentary service on SunExpress flights. This means that you have to pay for any snacks or drinks you want to buy and consume on the flight. If you want a Hot Meal during the flight there is a selection of varied meals available. These ones have to be booked in advance as well, 72 hours prior to departure. You can find an overview here. Usually it’s a hot meal, bread, a salad with olive oil, a small dessert and a bit still water. Any other drinks like a Can of Coke have to be purchased on the Plane, for 3 €. For my first flight I had Ravioli filled with cheese in fresh tomato sauce, leaf spinach and olives sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Crispy salad with carrots, tomatoes and radishes dressed with olive oil and lemon. Dessert: Chocolate tart and for the return flight back home Chargrilled Meatballs with garden vegetables with a thyme-shallot sauce garnish and potato purée. Crispy salad with carrots, tomatoes and radishes, dressed with olive oil and lemon. Dessert: Baklava.. I really liked to have something hearty on the plane, as the flight is about 3 hours long. The Sizes are like a bigger snack, bit smaller than a full meal, and it helped me to plan my bigger meals before and after the flights better.
