Situated in between the famous Tettnang hop yards the family even owns some of them and for sure they have their own brewery as well. When reaching the Brauereigasthof, hard to translate from German but it’s a combination of a brewery and a restaurant, sometimes you can even smell that you’ve reached the countryside. If you plan to eat there, what you definitely should (trust me, otherwise you’ll regret it), you should be early. Especially in the summer season and if you want to have a place outside in their beer garden, you should be early. Nevertheless, it’s totally common to share a table with other, foreign, people.

During my last visit to the Schöre in Tettnang we were early and so our order came pretty fast as well. As the kitchen is in the main house the waitress always has to cross the “street” that is connecting the house with the garden. Nevertheless, if you don’t drive or run them over, they are really fast and the food never comes cold to a table. As the family that runs the hop growing, the brewery and the restaurants also have some own bulls and pigs you only get to eat their own breed animals. Due to this, it’s quite possible that from time to time not all meals are available, otherwise, you find their menu online on their homepage.
