Taking a Boat to Portofino from Rapallo

Do you know the feeling when you are taking a Boat to visit a City? When you first drive into the blue, then you can see a first silhouette and the City is getting bigger and bigger. Ultimately you are arriving right in the City Center and can immediately start exploring. Yes, Boats are a great form of mobility and taking a Boat to Portofino from Rapallo was just so pleasant. Arriving at the picturesque Town of Portofino right in between all the luxurious boats and yachts, even if you are just on a simple touristy people mover, the feeling is almost the same – I promise!

Rapallo is a smaller town on the Ligurian Sea, not far from Portofino, making it a great place to start if you don’t want to travel too long. A single ride from Rapallo to Portofino is 8 Euros, a combined return ticket 11,50 Euros per person. From Rapallo to Portofino you have to take Line 1, driving from Rapallo to Santa Margherita Ligure, to Portofino and to San Fruttuoso. These boats are operated by “Servizio Marittimo del Tigulli”. They serve several routes all around the famous “Cinque Terre”-area and Genova, check out their Homepage for up-to-date information. They also offer night-rides and special Food and Wine Tours.
