Parking a car in busy city centres can be quite a challenge, especially in a lively and famous city such as Verona. As I preferred a close location for parking in Verona City Centre, over having a free place to park my car, I chose Parcheggio Multipiano Cittadella Verona, a prime location near the Arena and the Citta Alta.
Parking in Verona City Centre (near Arena di Verona)
Free Parking in Verona
Besides the many, quite costly, parking options in the centre of Verona, there are even some free parking spaces near Verona’s heart. You should plan around 20 minutes for walking but will save money by not spending up to 20 Euros per day parking.
Parking at Parcheggio Multipiano Cittadella Verona – Via Paglieri, 37122 Verona
Parking my Car in Verona at Parcheggio Multipiano Cittadella Verona has been a right decision. Quite expensive though, but only 400 meters from Arena di Verona, what else could you wish for!?
To reach Parcheggio Multipiano Cittadella Verona you should enter Via Andrea Paglieri by coming from Corso Porta Nuova (45°26’11.7″N 10°59’30.2″E). You will find the entrance to the underground parking in the middle of the lines/street. There is a limited “overground” parking as well, but especially in summer, I’d recommend parking downstairs. You can even use Telepass to pay your fee if you’re using this system, that’s definitely convenient. The underground parking made a clean and modern first impression on me. And, it’s relatively spacious to navigate around, each parking spot, however, felt a bit tight (I was driving a small Audi SUV, and had to try two spots to find one that was big enough finally). Small lights in red and green mounted near the ceiling are conveniently indicating if there is a free spot (green light) when navigating the parking on the search for a free parking space in Verona.
For my 5 hours and a few minutes, I paid a lump sum of 16,00€. The daily maximum is 17 Euros for this parking garage.
