It probably is the most overrated thing to do in Limone sul Garda at Lake Garda. It did cost a lot financially, but is it really worth it? Even for tourists, it’s not really practical. It’s nothing you can do on a whim. For this overrated thing to do in Limone sul Garda, you either have to invest a lot of time or drive by car and still walk. I’m talking about the Ciclopedonale Limone.

Inaugurated in 2018 the Ciclopedonale Limone actually is a glorious idea. Undoubtedly one of the more surprising things to do at Lake Garda. But the execution and “how well it can be integrated into a tourists holiday life” in Limone sul Garda is rather questionable.
The location of the walkway hovering about 50 metres above the water is outside of the city. From the ferry harbour in Limone, you will have to walk 2,6 km, until you reach the entrance to the Ciclopedonale Limone, near the EALA Luxury Hotel. The walkway itself is another 2 km long, and you will all have to walk all the way back again. In total it will be at least a 9 km walk for you. And for what? To walk by the smelly traffic of cars right an arm’s length away on the only road around the lake. For all of this, the stunning views are just not as amazing enough …

If you want to take selfies and pictures during your visit to Limone sul Garda, pay 2 euros for a visit to Limonaia del Castèl and enjoy the variety of citrus plants there, as well as stunning views of both the city and lake.
