Land Rover Experience Greece Tour 3: Adventures in the South and the magical Mountains of Crete

What makes a Roadtrip extremely special are good music and even better company. The first thing I remember, when thinking back about the 3rd Day and 3rd Route of Land Rover Experience Greece is the music playlist we heard that day. While we only relied on local radio stations, playing mainly greek songs, on the first two days, for the last one we had a stellar playlist of Songs from the Years 2000 and 2001. Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys are actually nothing to remember from an adventurous day like Land Rover Experience Greece, but it just made the whole day even better. Great laughter (partly due to the songs we once liked more than 15 years ago), stunning nature, beautiful places for lunch-/photo-stops and overall a memorable day in the south of Crete.

Land Rover Experience Greece Tour 3 leads you to the south of the Island. Just as the Route on Tour 1 this is a full-day Itinerary starting right after breakfast at the DAIOS COVE Hotel at 9 am. Once the roofs of the Evoque Convertibles are down, fully automatically up to a speed of 50 km/h, by the way, the group is again ready to roll. During each tour, the Land Rover Experience Instructor Marcus Maegle, with amazing local knowledge, is leading the Group of maximum three cars. With just three cars, and therefore just 6 participants maximum, the group stays small and comprehensible. Of course, I already liked Tour 1 and Tour 2, and maybe it was because it was the last day, but Tour 3 was somehow really magical. If it had to do with the ‘magical mountains of Crete’? Definitely! Nature was so different from the other two days. The halfway point of this Tour are the Asterousia Mountains with a height of 1,230 meters. At Thalori Village we had another typical Greek lunch, with the most stunning views of the mountains and the blue sea.
