Very very soon until the sounds of upcoming artists will again blast through the city of Baden-Baden. Every year in September, since 1994, the New Pop Festival is celebrated in this town in southern Germany. Organized by the biggest radio station in southern Germany, SWR3, and powered by German automotive manufacturer Audi, the event attracts thousands of people every year. The unique thing about the SWR3 New Pop Festival powered by Audi is that only new and upcoming artist will perform. Years ago the Festival discovered artists such as Fugees or Ed Sheeran, gave them a stage to perform, and a big career followed. But that’s just two examples of many.
Tickets aren’t available anymore (they are super popular, as every year) but there are free unplugged concerts and interviews that can be enjoyed by everyone in front of the Kurhaus, in case you happen to be close to Baden-Baden.

New in 2019: New Pop Festival goes green
To set an example, especially in the concert industry, SWR3 New Pop Festival powered by Audi will turn in to a sustainable and green Festival this year. The shuttles for artists and VIP will be all-electric cars by Audi, gastronomy on site is required to use as less serving/packaging material as possible, and so on.
