ibis Styles Milano Centro Hotel is located on the corner to Corso Buenos Aires and just a few hundred meters to the Train Station Milano Centrale. The location of this affordable City Hotel couldn’t be any better! ibis Styles Milano Centro opened just back in Fall 2015 and therefore everything is still in a very good condition. Or, should be. I had a few interesting surprises during my stay at ibis Styles Milano Centro Hotel, or should I rather say Hotel Serena Milan?
The Hotel, ibis Styles Milano Centro Hotel, is located in a good walking distance from Milan Central Train Station and you can see it from far thanks to the “ibis Styles” sign outside the House. Checking In went well, but then they handed over the TV remote control and a key. No Key-Card, a real Key with the name ‘Hotel Serena’ on. I always had to leave the Key at the Reception when leaving the House. I reached my Room 216 easily with the elevator and once I checked the Room out I discovered another mysterious thing, or, two. On the Door, there was another “Hotel Serena”-sign and I could not find any ibis or ibis Styles WiFi, but one that was called ‘Hotel Serena’. I felt like I accidentally checked into a wrong Hotel. But no, there was an “ibis Styles”-Welcome stand in my Room and the hand wash- and shower-gel were by Planet 21, so definitely an accorhotels/ibis Hotel.
The Room had a single bed, a TV (with Italian Channels only), an empty minibar, a safe, a Phone and a bathroom with a shower, toilet and a bidet. There was an open ‘closet’ as well as a Table and a Chair.
ibis Styles is the Hotel Category by AccorHotels that I would place in between ibis and ibis budget. ibis Styles Hotels are more stylish but still on a budget-level. Some of the advantages are free WiFi and complimentary breakfast. The WiFi at ibis Styles Milan Centro wasn’t always working very stable, sometimes It was not even possible to check my emails, other times it streamed complete YouTube Videos in seconds. The breakfast buffet, that is served in the basement of the Hotel, offers a varied selection. Toast and small baguette, butter, Cheese and Prosciutto, Yogurt and Cereals as well as Cakes and hard-boiled eggs. A typical Italian breakfast. A highlight was the opportunity to receive fresh brewed Cappuccino, as many as you want. Or Espresso, of course.
My 3-night stay at ibis Styles Milano Centro Hotel was definitely okay, the bed was comfortable and the Room big enough for one Person. The breakfast buffet was varied and tasty – ah, the fresh Cappuccino, so good! What’s really weird is that even the Homepage of the previous “Hotel Serena” was still online until late 2016. All in all the ‘ibis Styles Milano Centro Hotel’ is recommendable, with Room Rates starting at 53€/night and the convenient location.
