How to make the best Gelato – Carpigiani Gelato University at EXPO Milan
At Carpigiani Gelato University you can learn how to make the best Gelato in the World. Just imagine, what would be a hot summer day without a refreshing gelato? As I assume you have had very good and quite bad gelatos so far, so why not learning how to make Italian gelato by yourself, in Italy? Carpigiani is an Italian manufacturer of ice machines, founded 1946 in Bologna. Where else would you learn the best possible way to make Gelato, except at their own Gelato University. I haven’t visited a course at their University in Bologna yet, but I joined a class during EXPO 2015 in Milan. It was on one of the first days of the EXPO, so it was a nice and small group of gelato-enthusiasts, learning by the professionals.
Several types of courses are offered at Carpigiani Gelato University, from private enthusiasts to professionals. For enthusiasts, I’d recommend the ‘Special Event’ called Gelato Sensory Analysis: Learn to taste artisan gelato like a glass of wine, that I’d love to join on my own. The price for this course is 100€ per Person, the cheapest available course. A more advanced gelato courses is the 5 day lasting Basic Gelato Course for a price of 1000€ per person. Below you will find more Information on the different courses, and how to book them.
