Restaurant with the best view in Verona - Re Teodorico Castel San Pietro

Can you imagine what’s even better than a Restaurant with probably the best view in Verona? Exactly, when this particular Restaurant offers really, and I mean really delicious Food. That’s kind of a Jackpot, right? With no particular plan on what to do, I took the Funicular di Verona up to Castel San Pietro, to enjoy the mesmerizing view. You definitely have to go there, it’s absolutely amazing! But then I saw the sign to a Restaurant, to Re Teodorico Restaurant Verona. The widespread Terrace offers tables if you want to eat something or a lounge area for all-day drinks and snacks. Lunch is served until 2:30 pm, the kitchen for hot meals closes afterwards. Just a few minutes before the kitchen shuts down for the afternoon I ordered their “Spaghetti di Matt con Salsa di Pomodoro, Basilico e Burrata”, for 12€ per portion. Translated, it is Spaghetti with tomato (sauce), basil and burrata cheese. My absolute favourite dish, and even as it sounds so simple, the execution sometimes seems to be harder than it should be.

Just minutes later my divine looking Pasta arrived. I simply couldn’t decide what’s better looking, the Spaghetti with Burrata or the endless view of Verona. In the end, for now, the Spaghetti won in taste, the city with the view. The spaghetti were ideally cooked, the tomato sauce well seasoned and the burrata, well, what else do I have to say. Sure, the price point might be a bit pricey, but sitting in the shade on a hot day, overlooking the city and friendly service, the price is absolutely justified. I can absolutely recommend Re Teodorico Restaurant Verona and can’t wait to go back, the next time for Apperitivo and Dinner during sunset.
